What Are Necessary BJJ Practice

You need to ask yourself even before embarking on essential or Basic Jiu Jitsu practice, why you want to do the training. This is what will determine how you will approach the training program. You will be able to know the type of strength and conditioning program to adopt and how long your training program will last.

Most people that undergo Essential Jiu Jitsu training approach it as if they are preparing for a competition. Some train vigorously as if they are planning to conquer the world. But surprisingly, this is not the case. Training seriously and consistently will not make you win a BJJ black belt in a global tournament or competition. And since you are not going for training to compete in a grappling competition, you should focus only on your longevity on the Jiu Jitsu mats.

Let your training be like the way you eat, drink and sleep to live long. Strength and conditioning training should be for you to stay longer on the mats. You should endeavor to monitor your training very closely. Training is taxing and can bring undue stress on your body, most especially, the nervous system. You will also be slow if you train a lot. You need to take some days off just to lessen the intensity of your training.

Do hard Jiu Jitsu training for three consecutive days in a week while the other days should be used for drills or other light training sessions.

Know that as far as contact sports like Jiu jitsu is concerned, injury is inevitable. But you can also get injured when you are not tapping. So, let go of your ego and ensure you tap before getting hurt. As you continue to tap, so also you are learning more about Jiu Jitsu.

Also, when doing Brazilian Jiu Jitsu training, always listen to what your body is telling you. Do not roll hard if you do not feel like doing so. You understand your body more than even your trainer or anyone else. Click here to know more about #bjj.
