Repairing an E-bike battery is no longer a mystery to most bikers. Most of them have learned how to do it on their own. In most cases, the battery has been installed by the customer prior to receiving the bike. If you are one of the lucky ones that bought your own E-bike from a dealer, then chances are, your battery was installed by the dealer. The steps below describes how to do it.
The first step is to disconnect the battery. On your dashboard, you will see a wire harness with wires that lead to each major system in your E-bike. Unhook the battery from its connectors and detach it from the battery grip.
The next step is to locate the terminal blocks. You will find these on the left side of the battery. You can easily locate them. They are usually T points, so make sure you read your manual carefully.
The third step to repairing the battery is to remove the gaskets. Do not try to force the battery out because you might damage the cells. Once the gasket is removed, you will see two wires with terminals. You should unplug them and then attach the new battery.
