In theory, having a Ledger Wallet should leave users at no risk, but this didn't turn out to be the case. Just recently, the creator of Ledger Wallet, was questioned by hackers who accessed his email account. When questioned, he admitted that he used a Ledger Wallet to store passwords and financial information, not secure sensitive information like credit card numbers. In fact, he had stored it in plaintext on his laptop, giving hackers access to everything. He did not immediately notify Apple or any of the major credit card companies that he did this, even though they could have easily done so and have taken action against him.
So, what is the solution? How do you safely get rid of a hacker's access to your most important financial information? Fortunately, there is an easy solution, and it is called the "Ledger Recovery Phrase." This is a freeware application that will remove any type of encryption that may have been placed on your Ledger Wallet or any of the other types of protected wallets.
It does this through a series of "phases," including removal of a series of hidden service agents. Once the "Ledger Recovery Phrase" has successfully completed the job, your Wallet will be completely free of encryption and lock screen protection, and all you will see is a classic green background.
