Why Titanium Sheet Can Be Used In Medical Line?

In about seventy years ago was when titanium tube and bars are first used in the medical industry where they are used for one or more orthopedic implant.
And just as the technology continues to improve in the medical line and there is so much availability of Titanium (Ti) metal, it now finds its application in developing hip sockets and shoulder joints. Ti is also found in use in dental implants and act as a source of hearing aids to some patients. All these medical applications of titanium are because it is found to be durable, free of corrosion and less costly.
The titanium sheet and bar find their uses in orthopedic implants due to some natural attributes that the metal offer. For instance, it has been proven that Ti element has a very good strength-to-weight ratio. It is basically resistant to corrosion and is not biodegradable. Titanium has been known to improve the process of Osseo integration. It does not need any adhesive when used in bonding broken or separated bones together. Titanium resistance to high energy forces makes it difficult to break under high tension. The metal does not react to any environmental condition, which makes its applications to last long and need not be replaced.
Still in the area of medicine, Ti bars are used to make medical instruments besides the devices that can be placed inside human bodies. It is used for prosthetics and its alloys (for example, Ti-6Al-4V ELI and Ti-6Al-4V) are used in most implants of the body. The alloys are known to be highly resistant to any form of fracture.
Titanium sheet is inert in nature and does not mix or combine with any other elements easily. Only that when it is exposed to oxygen gas, there will be some films produced which acts like a protection to the metal. This is why the metal can be used inside the body system where there is flow of fluids all the time. Click here to know more about #www.northsteel.com.
