What are the used materials for window framing?

Window replacement can become a very complicated matter for a person to decide if he does not know anything about this matter. There are three main types of materials used for window framing. Aluminum is the most common material used for making metal framing for home windows. Vinyl and wood are the other materials used for window framing.
Aluminum metal framing
For many office buildings we see aluminum metal framing for its doors and window. Its main advantage is that it is the best for preventing outside noise from entering the office. They are also more resistant to corrosion than vinyl frames or wood frames. Aluminum frames are also considered as one of the most easily maintainable materials among metal framing materials for windows or doors. They warm up fast compared to other metal framing materials commonly used for the frames of windows and doors. The disadvantage of using this material as most suitable metal framing material for windows and doors is that it is costlier compared to the other commonly used materials for doors and windows like wood, Polyvinyl Chloride etc.
Vinyl frames: This is the cheapest type of frame available in the market other than metal framing materials. As they are worthy solutions most homeowners prefer it for its benefits like lesser price, easy to maintain and does not need any special products to clean them. Vinyl window frames have the added advantage that they are good heat insulators. It is a durable material and can withstand varying temperature ranges also.

Wood frames:
Wood frames are generally considered as the first option for residential buildings. But wood is rather expensive and for his reason vinyl or aluminum is replacing wood in residential areas. It has a classic look and is made from natural material. They are attracted by termites and their durability is questionable.
