Bank Arena
The Intrust Bank Arena or
the Wichita arena is
a multi-purpose arena located in Wichita, United States. It is situated in the
northeastern corner of Waterman streets in Wichita. There are 22 suites, more
than 300 premium seats, and 2 party suites. This is the home wichita thunder arena of the ECHL and
previously was to the Wichita Force of the Champions Indoor Football. It is the
second-largest arena in the whole Kansas after Allen Fieldhouse that can get
16,300 people seated.
The Shockers Men’s
Basketball team of Wichita state uses this arena as an alternate for the games
which attract more fans than that can be accommodated at the on-campus arena of
the team, Charles Koch Arena. This arena has hosted the first &second round
of games for the NCAA Division I Men's Basketball Tournament in 2018&
for the NCAA Division I Women's
Basketball Tournament in 2011. This arena is also scheduled to host the first
and the second-round games of men’s tournament next year.
The INTRUST Bank Arena
conducts several musical performances, basketball tournaments, and many other
concerts. Some of the big stars who have performed here include Metallica, Lil
Wayne, Sesame Street Live, and Elton John. This arena even hosted the
Basketball Tournament of NCAA Division I in 2018. These aren’t the only events
conducted here. Every other day, some of the other great events are being
hosted by this arena.
