Using keyword tracking to find CTR issues and identifying volatile search results

To know exactly where your pages on the site rank for certain keywords might help you in identifying issues with your rates for click through which might be impacting on the traffic. According to a recent study, it was found out that the number one results in Google normally has a CTR of 31.7% on average. In 2017, a study from Ahrefs found out that the average CTRA for the snippet featured was about 8.6%.  It is possible to know all that by use of a rank tracker.

Thus if you are knowing that  your site tends to rank in either the snippet that are featured or position one for a certain keyword, you will compare the click through rate it has to those averages to find out if your CTRs are above, at, or below average.

The click through which is below average rates is suggestive of the title of your page or the meta description which could not be that compelling enough to be able to encourage the users to click onto them. Or for the case of the featured snippets, it might be suggestive that your snippet could be answering questions of the searcher fully, and thus, no need for them to click to find out more of your results.
