Disadvantages of infrared panel heaters

Though using a panel heater brings with it pros, there are also cons which are associated with it.  So before you make your purchase, you need to check out the cons to see if it is worthy of your money. The  cons include the following:

It has safety issues that you should consider

When the infrared panel heater’s coils start distributing warmth, at times they get very hot.  It means that you will want to keep your kids and pets away from the unit while in operation to avoid injury through contact.

Companies manufacture products which tend to reduce the cons, including ensuring it includes cabinets that are cool touch. Still, the heat has to disperse by using a fan which then affect the advantages you would have enjoyed with the technology.

Infrared heaters have color issues

In most instances, they emit orange color when distributing heat to your environment. The use of the color is for encouraging people to avoid product touching, which can end up causing side effects.

If the space is small, it is likely going to cause the space to be brighter than normal. If you cannot sleep with lights, then it will mean you have to avoid utilizing the technology. The problem can be avoided by going for a cabinet instead of a stand-alone unit.

The moment the unit is turned off, you lose the heat

A heater that is infrared tend to work instantly when the product is turned on, but immediately you turn it off, the heat radiation stops. The air in the room is not warmed with this technology, and it means that you are going to lose the temperature that is comfortable instantly.

That could be the reason why people tend to prefer an oil-filled heater as it is better because the unit will radiate heat even when the product is not operating.
