We all, at our firm, were contemptuous about it, at first. But, after a year, in 2017, as the company's quarterly financial report was published, the CEO summoned all the employees to the conference room. It wasn't as delightful as usual. Our quarter-on-quarter growth slumped by 15% and year-on-year growth collapsed to 32%. The CEO reported that he would have to let go of 50% of the staff, and I was one of the employees to get the pink slip.
